First:
Familiarize yourself with the DOS commands found here.
Then:
Complete the following assignment:
- Insert a 3.5" floppy disk into the "A" drive.
- Format the floppy disk using DOS.
- Verify that the disk is empty by using the directory command.
- Create a file using DOS called "lab.txt" with the following
structure:
Your Name
Your Instructor's Name
- Make a directory on the disk called "backup".
- Copy the file you created in Step 4 into the "backup" folder,
copy the file so that the copy is named "lab.bak".
- Delete the original file "lab.txt".
- Create another directory on the disk called "temp".
- Delete the folder you just created.
- Copy all files from the root of the "C" drive that have an
extension of ".sys" onto the floppy drive, do this using a single
DOS command.
Either hand in your disk or make screen shots (using ALT + Print Screen) and
paste into a Word document and e-mail that to
cet751@pluto.dsu.edu.
